P&S is a brand built on a simple American detailing story. In 1956, Bill Phillips started selling auto reconditioning chemicals out of the back of his station wagon to pay for college. By 1961 he had founded P&S Sales in Hayward, California. Six decades later P&S is one of the largest professional detailing chemical manufacturers in the United States, with products used in detail shops, dealerships and body shops across the country. Now part of Appearance Technology Group, P&S continues to develop and produce out of its California base.

Why P&S?

P&S is a chemistry-first brand. The product line is shaped by what professional detailers actually need on the floor: fast-acting cleaners, paint-safe protectants, low-foam and high-foam wash options for different equipment, and concentrated formulas that work out economically per use. That practical orientation is why P&S has been the chemical of choice in many US pro shops for over six decades. For European detailers and enthusiasts the brand has stayed under the radar, but the products are the same the American pros have relied on for years.

Our most-sold P&S products span the full detailing process. Bead Maker is the iconic spray sealant and drying aid that adds gloss and protection in a single pass. Brake Buster is the acid-free wheel and tire cleaner that handles brake dust without etching alloys. Rags to Riches is the microfiber-specific detergent that restores absorbency and removes ground-in oils from working microfiber towels. Xpress Interior is the all-purpose interior cleaner that handles fabric, plastic and headliner without overcomplicating the routine. Pearl Auto Shampoo is the high-foam, paint-safe wash that gives a slick, controlled feel. Carpet Bomber and Terminator are the carpet and stain solutions that pro detailers reach for on serious interior work. Defender is the spray-on rubber and plastic protectant.
